Our Purpose: Select the Roxbourg Fellows for the Roxbourg Institute of Social Entrepreneurship (RISE) who will deliver the Roxbourg Seminars that will be part of the Roxbourg MBA for Professionals Degree requirements starting February 2021. The Roxbourg Fellows are professionals who believe in social, gender and environmental equity and are not engaged in “greenwashing” or systematic abuse of people, plants or animals. In short, the Roxbourg Fellowship is for a chosen few. Appointment as the Roxbourg Fellow is governed by a contract that will be available to all Roxbourg Fellows who have completed the audition based on the Leapfrog Education Accreditation Protocol (LEAP). All auditions will be recorded for sponsors to review - primarily Government departments dealing with Sustainable Development and Foundations / Family Offices.

Backstory

Teaching Method: At the Roxbourg Institute, the method of teaching is the seminar, based on the Socratic Dialogue inspired by Socrates (c. 470 – 399 BC) and the evaluation of over 400 sessions delivered from 2016 onwards at the GoodFestival following the principles of sustainability - social, gender and environmental equity. The goal of the Roxbourg Seminar is not to find the “right answer” but to allow everyone to discover the right path for themselves. Students are encouraged to present diverse views and debate. Here is the step by step approach:

A. Before each seminar: Students will need to review the “publicly available reading list” via the Digital Learning Platform - approximately 2 to 8 hours of work based on the background of each student.

B. Part One of the seminar: Up to 20 Minutes of the seminar will be an insightful monologue by the Roxbourg Fellow who has been certified by Leapfrog Education Accreditation Protocol (LEAP).

C. Part Two of the seminar: Up to 100 Minutes of the seminar will be a dialogue with 4-minute presentations by the students based on the reading list + their opinion of the ideas presented in the opening monologue.

D. Pass / Fail: At the end of each seminar, the students will do a simple self-assessment to decide if they have passed based on their participation and the quality of the discussion.

Graduation and Awards: Fellows will receive the Roxbourg Medal for excellence in teaching and students will be awarded the medal based acquiring sponsors for their venture at the time of graduation during the graduation ceremony held at the GoodFestival, the world’s biggest celebration of sustainable innovation.
