Why Roxbourg?
Roxbourg HYPR Accelerator is the world’s biggest EdTech humanitarian accelerator.
:: According to research conducted by the World Bank Group and UNESCO, higher education allows everyone around the world to extend their lifelong earnings and hence lead a better life. As a result, the total number of people seeking higher education worldwide has increased from just 30 million in 1970 to 100 million in 2000 to 200 million in 2017 and is expected to increase to 600 million by 2040.
:: But millions of people do not want to pay thousands of dollars to business schools or give up equity in their ventures to business accelerators. Hence highly capable, intelligent, hardworking professionals are locked out of higher education opportunities.
:: Our mission is to make higher education accessible to everyone, everywhere by providing scholarships for skilling up, showcasing opportunities to facilitate scaling up, and new revenue generation opportunities by providing accreditation services for building professional education academies around the world.
How we started?
Launched GoodFestival, the world’s biggest celebration of sustainable innovation in Oct 2016. GoodFestival has showcased 100s of sustainable innovators to an audience of 4,000+ during 8 editions. Roxbourg Accelerator, Roxbourg Institute, Roxbourg SPACE, GoodFestival, OneMillionSparks and Switzerland4Good are part of Majamba.Org, a Swiss limited liability company established in 2010 and structured like a family office.
Step #1: Developed the SwissMBA.Org Accreditation Program
We completed the operational launch of the SwissMBA.Org Accreditation Program in May 2020 which became the basis of Accreditarium Decentralized Accreditation (ADA). So far we have accredited 55+ Roxbourg Fellows.
Step #2: Launched the Roxbourg HYPR Accelerator
We completed the operational launch of the Roxbourg HYPR Accelerator in February 2021. Roxbourg HYPR Accelerator is a new type of accelerator - it is an accelerator that builds Social Innovation Academies.
Step #3: Launched the Roxbourg Institute of Social Entrepreneurship (RISE)
We completed the operational launch of the Roxbourg Institute of Social Entrepreneurship (RISE) in Feb 2021, where students build “local projects” that address social, gender, and environmental inequity and receive a professional degree. So far we have certified 60+ Roxbourg.MBA Graduates.
Step #4: Signed partnership with the Swiss EdTech Collider
In April 2021, we signed the partnership agreement with the Swiss EdTech Collider to shape the future of the trillion-dollar professional education market that includes corporate training, apprenticeships, internships and expert workshops.
Step #5: Launched the Roxbourg ID
We rolled out the Roxbourg ID, powered by Google for Education in July 2021. Roxbourg students have access to email, chat, social network, classroom, video conferencing and over 100 apps. So far we have activated over 180 accounts.
STEP #6: LAUNCHED THE ROXBOURG HYPRBOOK
The Roxbourg HYPRBOOK “All-in-One" Education Platform can transform any classroom or conference room or public space into a space for professional higher education by providing a suite of 11 services.
STEP #7: LAUNCHED THE ROXBOURG SPACE LICENSE
Roxbourg.SPACE License is for everyone who wants to build a Professional Higher Education Academy that leverages the Roxbourg Digital Learning Platform on a per student, per year basis.
STEP #8: LAUNCHED ROXBOURG ACCREDITATION SYSTEM
Eight years after launching GoodFestival & Roxbourg Institute of Social Entrepreneurship (RISE) and interacting with over 4,000 social entrepreneurs from around the world, Roxbourg has started the rollout of a global accreditation program. Now professionals everywhere have the option to get accredited as a Roxbourg Fellow and build your own Academy powered by Roxbourg and a customized MBA Program.
