1. Why Professional education?

According to research conducted by the World Bank Group and UNESCO, higher education allows everyone around the world to extend their lifelong earnings and hence lead a better life. As a result, the total number of people seeking higher education worldwide has increased from just 30 million in 1970 to 100 million in 2000 to 200 million in 2017 and is expected to increase to 600 million by 2040.

Let’s peel this onion:
+ Around 20% of the 600 million people will be looking for business management qualifications - that’s 120 million people. Most do not have $100,000+ per annum to pay for quality business education over 4 to 6 years.

+ On the other hand there are millions of independent professionals and organizations who are already leading high-quality seminars.

+ What if we could accredit the top professionals and organizations who have launched sustainable ventures or companywide initiatives to lead seminars and offer students the opportunity to earn a high-quality professional MBA by attending the seminars and building a plan for a sustainable venture and graduating after presenting to the Roxbourg HYPR Accelerator Team at the GoodFestival in Lausanne, Switzerland.

2. What are the requirements to become a Roxbourg Fellow?

As you review the Roxbourg Policy, you will find that the necessary condition for getting accredited is that you need to launch your venture that addresses the root causes of social, gender or environmental inequity. This allows you to share your experience and contribute to seminars in any of the following areas:

:: Opportunity Analysis
:: Team Development
:: Strategy Development
:: Brainstorming
:: Market Research
:: Product Positioning
:: Financial Planning
:: Fundraising
:: Marketing
:: Social Media
:: Contracts
:: Reporting inc. Taxes
:: Venture Pitch
:: Resilience

Seminars are broadly classified into two categories based on the Swiss Apprenticeship Model*.

Mission-based seminars - Type A: This is where you will present the biggest challenges your sustainable venture is facing and invite the participants to solve "missions". These missions are like "micro-apprenticeships", where everyone learns by doing.

Lesson-based seminars - Type B: These are seminars where you share your insights. For example - here are the 3 things I want every sustainable innovator to know. These "lessons" are like a "micro-internship", where everyone learns based on experiences.
