Policy for Roxbourg Fellows

0. What are the main options for the Roxbourg Fellows?

// The Roxbourg Fellowship is for everyone who wants to promote their social, sustainable, regenerative or humanitarian innovation everywhere. Here are the main options for the Roxbourg Fellows:

ROXBOURG FELLOWSHIP ACCREDITATION (Option A): Everyone who has launched a social, sustainable, regenerative, or humanitarian initiative is invited to get accredited as a Roxbourg Fellow, lead Roxbourg Sessions, and join the Good100. More >

ROXBOURG GRANTS & SCHOLARSHIPS (Option B): All Roxbourg Fellows can nominate anyone (including themselves) for grants and scholarships that can potentially cover 100% of the administrative and tuition fees of the Roxbourg.MBA Program focused on sustainable innovation. More >

ROXBOURG HUMANITARIAN ACCELERATOR (Option C): All Roxbourg Fellows have the option to receive the Humanitarian Accelerator License (HAL) and turn any learning space into a Roxbourg.SPACE. More >

ROXBOURG OPEN INCUBATOR (Option D): All Roxbourg Fellows have the option to join the Roxbourg OPEN Incubator to develop their own customized Roxbourg.MBA Program by utilizing the Roxbourg.SPACE. More >

Note: Options C & D are now part of the Roxbourg.SPACE Initiative.

1. Is the accreditation for the Roxbourg Fellowship free of charge?

// Yes. The SwissMBA.Org accreditation is free.

Notes regarding Governance:

The Roxbourg Service Professional Academic Affairs (SPAA) Team invites Roxbourg Fellows to the Roxbourg Jury. And the Roxbourg Jury decides who graduates with a Roxbourg Degree and who gets the Roxbourg Gold Medal - everyone who gets the Roxbourg Gold Medal is invited to apply for the Roxbourg Fellowship.

The Roxbourg Service Professional Academic Affairs (SPAA) Team convenes the Roxbourg Interview Board made up of current Roxbourg students and alumni to make decisions regarding which candidate receives the Roxbourg Scholarship and who gets invited to the Roxbourg Fellowship.

Notes regarding decision criteria used by the interview board in order to recommend the candidates for fellowship:

A. Has the applicant launched a sustainable venture - that is to say, are they serving real users (not just friends and family)? Have they faced the first set of challenges? What have they done to overcome adversity? What have they learned?

B. Is the applicant ready to support other innovators based on their experience? Are they able to coherently present abstract ideas? Answer direct questions? Are they sensitive to different cultures when presenting? Are they flexible, able to recognize a mistake, or do they endlessly argue to prove their point?

Notes regarding the “Red Flags” approach for making decisions regarding fellowship:

If at least three members of the interview board raise a “red flag”, then the candidate will be invited back for a debrief with the option to reappear during the next round of the interviews.

2. How is the Roxbourg HYPR Accelerator funded?

// The Roxbourg HYPR Accelerator is funded by fee-paying students who are part of the Roxbourg Institute of Social Entrepreneurship (RISE) and sponsors.

3. What is the biggest difference between hosting a Humanitarian Accelerator (Option C) and launching a customized Roxbourg.MBA Program (Option D)?

// When an innovator hosts a Humanitarian Accelerator (Option C), Roxbourg pays the rent space and pays the coaches/teachers. In other words, the Humanitarian Accelerator is owned by Roxbourg.

// When an innovator launches a customized Roxbourg.MBA Program (Option D), Roxbourg provides the know-how, systems, protocols, Humanitarian Accelerator License by utilizing Roxbourg.SPACE.

4. If an innovator launches their own customized Roxbourg.MBA program, what are the mandatory aspects of the curriculum?

// Approximately 20 out of 42 sessions per semester are mandatory:

: Firestarter Summit - Week 1: This is the onboarding session for all Roxbourg.MBA candidates.
: Brainstorm4Good - Week 5: This is the week when the candidates finalize the scope of their venture as well as the venture team.
: Good Brand Summit - Week 11: This is the week when the candidates pitch their venture plan to confirm their graduation date.
: Global Good Congress - Week 14: During this week, winners of the Roxbourg Gold Medals are announced and invitations for the Roxbourg Fellowship are sent.
: Startup Thursday (STX) Sessions: Every Thursday during the 14-week semester, all candidates are expected to take part in the Startup Thursday Sessions to share progress and request coaching sessions to catch up on essentials.

5. Can anyone lead a Roxbourg Session or add any new element to the Roxbourg.MBA curriculum?

// Everyone who wants to lead Roxbourg Coaching Sessions or Jam Sessions will need to be accredited by SwissMBA.Org.

6. What is the relationship model amongst different Humanitarian Accelerator License holders?

// All license holders can request coaching from another license holder via the Roxbourg HYPR Accelerator. However, collusion around pricing, mobbing students by blocking or disrupting them may lead to the termination of the license itself.

7. Is the Humanitarian Accelerator License including the customized Roxbourg.MBA license non-exclusive or exclusive?

// All licenses are non-exclusive. Differentiation is created by the design of the curriculum, the brand name, the mix of the scholarships.

// Here is the baseline of scholarships per class that can be adapted on a case by case basis:

:: 40% of the students - 100% scholarship.

:: 40% of the students - 80% scholarship.

:: 20% of the students - 50% scholarship.

8. What happens after I apply for the Roxbourg Fellowship?
